Holy hell, that was cute.

I didn't think I would be happy to see Big Smoke reunited with his dog after... Everything he did in the game, but this was really well made.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what the hell I just saw, but it was really well-animated and it was cool to look at.

No. I will not ignore.

I remember when this was new. All these years later, it still holds up pretty well.
I only wish you made part 3.

Not bad, but primitive.

The story is interesting and I was curious to see what happened next. I've only played the first few levels, but I intend to beat this game and find out how it ends.
Also, I liked the attempt to destigmatize nudism.

The platforming is nice, but the background and foreground use the same assets, so initially, I kept trying to jump on a block because I didn't realize it was a part of the background. It took me a few minutes.

The coins, while a nice addition, don't really fit the theme or do anything other than add to a score. They feel tacked on simply because it's a 2D platformer.

The combat is pretty bland with a basic attack and block. I wouldn't mind it so much if the enemies had a tell before they attacked, but their attacks are instant. I can't anticipate when I should and shouldn't block. I started having more fun when I tried to go pacifist and started jumping over and running past the enemies instead.

All in all, it's not bad, but it could have been better. If you ever try to make another game, I wish you luck.

HAhahah!
Yeah... That was one of my first games and made with the little to no free time I had back then, so I can't deny it has a lot of flaws... ^^;

And indeed, I started working on a lot of other games, from which you can find the demos in my itch.io account.

But yeah... none of them got propper polishing or conclusion because, just like this one, I had to work on them while juggling several real life time-consumers, and also having a lot of other projects to work on... ^^;

Still... thank you for the feedback! ^^

Also, if you're interested in the story, I also developed this into my own full Fantasy universe, with comics, short tales, several stand-alone images and so on! ^^
You can find all of it on my Deviantart account! ^^

I remember playing this years ago.

I remember enjoying it, but in hindsight, this was very clearly made by someone who was in the middle of high school. With the amount of swearing and side characters killing each other for no reason, it reached the point of edginess that I just went "We get it! You're SO COOL!"

I also have some issues with the writing. Grammar issues aside, your fixation on guns ruined it a bit. Everyone in the game felt compelled to point out what kind of gun they had for no real reason. People don't talk like that.

Finally, both games started and ended abruptly and I had no reason to care about what the protagonist was doing. I don't know his background, his ideals, or his motivation for why he does what he does. I don't even remember his name. That's how little I was invested.

This game was made over 15 years ago, so you probably already realized some of this and just don't care about my complaints at all. That's fair, but this review feature is here for a reason.

I remember playing this when I was 13/14. Good times.
Thanks for the memories. Shame that "The GetLaidener" never came out.

Nice job making it look in-game. Very impressive.

This is so well done that I can't tell if you made this, or just uploaded an official render from Nintendo.
