That scenario happened to me before.
I was doing a quest where I had to get this stone that hurts you while you hold it.
I almost made it to the end, ANNNNND...I got attacked by some tiny hopping bastard. grrrr!!!
Anyway, this was very well done. I especially like the monsters animation, and the fact you put in the games loading screen. That was funny.
